Random picker: frequently asked questions
How do I add a random picker wheel to OBS?
Add the Random picker widget to your overlay, choose the wheel layout and enter your list. Paste your overlay link into an OBS browser source, then start the draw from the Control Room.
Can viewers enter the draw from chat?
No. You fill the list by hand, in the editor or the Control Room. For a giveaway, you add the participants' names yourself.
How many entries can the wheel hold?
Twenty at most. Beyond that, names get too small to read on screen.
Is the draw really random?
Yes. The winner is picked at random when you start the draw, then the animation reveals it. If you turn on weighting, an entry with a higher weight is more likely to come up.
How do I avoid drawing the same name twice?
Turn on "remove after draw": each winner leaves the list. If you make a mistake, you undo the last draw from the Control Room.
