What is a sub goal on Twitch?
It is a subscriber target you set for your channel and display on screen, so chat can follow the progress. The widget shows the current total, the goal and what is left to reach.
Does the subscriber count update on its own?
Yes, as long as your Twitch account is connected and the editor or the Control Room stays open. Every subscription moves the count, and the total realigns every minute with Twitch's.
Can I count subscribers from somewhere other than Twitch?
Yes. The plus and minus buttons in the Control Room add subscribers by hand, for example those from another platform. That adjustment is kept when the Twitch total updates.
How do I change the goal during the stream?
The goal and the title are set in the editor. The "Edit" button in the Control Room takes you straight there, and the overlay follows the change without reloading OBS.
